A Report on
English Literary
Association
Formed
The
Department of English formed ‘English Literary Association’ on 9th Aug.,
2019 in the college in a general
meeting of the students. The body-members were selected among the willing
students in the presence of Dr. S. K. Thorat, Mr. N. G. Jadhao and Mr. S. L.
Kapshikar. The aim of the association has been stated at the same time to the
students. It aims to create interest for English language & Literature
among them. It works to organize various programs like guest lectures,
seminars, workshops, debates etc.

An
Academic Guidance Talk
An Academic Guidance Talk of Mr. Anil Sudke,
Prerana Coaching Classes, Karanja, was organized on ‘English Grammar’ by the
Department of English under the guidance of Principal, Dr. P. R. Rajput on 30th
Sept. 2019 in the college. Prof. Sudke interacted with the students of B. Com.
I. He gave the basics of English Grammar by raising questions. Total 92
students actively participated in the discussion. Dr. K. G. Rajput, Prof. A. D.
Barde, Dr. D. P. Parate, Prof. Panjwani and Prof. Bhojraj were present at the occasion.
Ms. Yogita Kshirsagar, the students, conducted the proceedings and Ms. Khushbu
Guruwani proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. S. K. Thorat, Head of the department,
along with the students strove hard for the success of the programme.
Outcome:
It
is observed that the students enhance knowledge through the various programmes
organized by the department and develop interest in teaching learning process. At
the same time, they began to converse in English among themselves. It helps
them to achieve quality enhancement.

A Report on
Workshop
A Workshop on Drafting Newspaper Report was
organized by the Department of English under the guidance of Principal, Dr. P.
R. Rajput on 11th Oct. 2019 in the college. Prof. Balasaheb Dongare,
PRO Hitavada, Washim and Prof. Gopnarayan were invited as Academic Experts. Dr.
K. G. Rajput presided over the Workshop. Prof. Dongare interacted with the
students of UG.. He gave the basics of drafting newspaper report. Total 64
students actively participated in the discussion. Dr. S. K. Thorat and Prof. N.
G. Jadhao were present at the occasion. Dr. Thorat conducted the proceedings
and Prof. Jadhao proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. S. K. Thorat, Head of the
department and Prof. N. G. Jadhao along with the students strove hard for the
success of the programme.
